Anne Edwards and Harry Daniels visit the Center on October 20 and 21

October 14th, 2003 - Professors Anne Edwards and Harry Daniels from the University of Birmingham, England, will visit the Center to discuss research collaboration on co-configuration work. Anne and Harry will tell about their new project on Monday, October 20, from 10 to 12 AM in the classroom. Everybody is very welcome - spread the word!

The new research project led by Anne Edwards and Harry Daniels in Birmingham is titled 'Learning in and for Interagency Working'. The project is funded by the Teaching and Learning Research Programme of the British Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), for the period 9/2003 to 8/2007. The project is focused on learning in services that aim to promote social inclusion of young people at risk, specifically in and across organizations involved in supporting the education and care plans (ECPs) of secondary school pupils who are at risk of exclusion and/or have special educational needs. The project works in close collaboration with our Finnish project 'New Forms of Expansive Learning at Work: The Landscape of Co-Configuration', funded by the Academy of Finland and led by Yrjö Engeström. The British project will also utilize the Change Laboratory tools developed at our Center.
