Short Biography

Born in Helsinki 30.10.1943.

Master of Arts in psychology at the University of Helsinki 1971.

1971 –1984 Deputy Training Manager planning in-house-training systems for civil servants in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Organization and Methods.
1984 – 1987 Senior planning officer planning and organizing management training at the State Technical Research Center, Helsinki.
1987 – 1995 Senior consultant and Development manager at the Administrative Development Center, Helsinki.

1996 Doctor of Philosophy (Work Psychology and Sociology) Helsinki University of Technology.

1996 Senior researcher and from 2000 on Professor of Developmental Work Research at the Centre for Activity Theory and Developmental Work Research, University of Helsinki, Department of education. Leader of the research group "Change management, intervention and learning " at the center.
