Programs Developed for the Project

The initial idea of the LTSP Kiosk project was to change the original LTSP setup as little as possible. Many of these small tools are to be executed from xinitrc and therefore control the client behaviour.

• su_kiosk.c for quick-and-dirty UID change before starting the X server
• kiosk_login_1-0-4-2.tar.gz for LDAP login (for LDAPS use stunnel)
• gtk_popup_1-0.tar.gz to be used in your scripts (makes a popup-window with specified content)
• irqidle_1-0.tar.gz can be used to monitor IRQ channels (monitor keyboard and mouse inactivity to kill X if the kiosk is inactive)
• bootmed_1-0-1.tar.gz is for forcing clients to boot by issuing a boot request from the server.
• xpdf hack for removing / disabling certain features
