Course Developing scientific and linguistic skills through digital media in science classes: pec_Europeen_Course_Registration_Form.pdf

General preparations

• selection of two schools, organising teaching practice in December 2005
• presentation of important features of PEC project in selected schools in January 2006 (ACTION 1):
  - preparation of two CD, focusing to scientific/linguistic activities, and which are used in mentor science teachers’ course and student teachers’ course
  - organising a course for 2 mentor science teachers/country, financed by National Agencies under Comenius 2.2.c , in February 2007 – May 2007 ( Once the Course is designed, it is presented to the National Agency of the country where it is going to be held, and once approved by this Agency it is published in Socrates Catalogue of courses ) (Action 7)
  - organising two weeks course/teaching practice for 7 student science teachers/country in 7 participating countries (Action 6) , altogether for 49 students (financed by National Socrates Office   under comenius.2.2.a ) in October 2007 – May 2008
• 5 th coordination meeting for planning the course for 2 mentor teachers/country
• 6 th and 7 th coordination meeting for planning the two weeks course/teaching practice for 49 students (one course in every participating country)
• 7 th, 8 th and 9 th coordination meetings for evaluating the mentor teachers’ course and student teachers course and use of prepared CDs (ES/FI)

Mentor science teachers’ course, ACTION 7 (ES)

• selection of mentor teachers in September 2006
• a course for 2 mentor teachers/country, financed by National Agencies under Comenius 2.2.c , in February 2007 – May 2007
• presentation of prototype Mentor-CD including scientific/linguistic activities and organising work shops for teachers during the international and national courses
• program of the international course, LINK

Student science teachers’ course/teaching practice, ACTION 6 (ES)

• selection of students in September 2007
• two weeks course/teaching practice for 7 student science teachers/country in 7 participating countries, altogether for 49 students (financed by National Socrates Office   under comenius.2.2.a ) in October 2007 – May 2008
• presentation of prototype Student-CD including scientific/linguistic activities and organising work shops for students during the international and national courses
